BEST-SELLING crime novelist Stephen Booth will visit Chepstow next month for an evening talk at the town’s library.

Mr Booth will be talking to readers about writing his award-winning series of crime novels set in the Peak District featuring young police detectives Ben Cooper and Diane Fry.

With 13 novels in his series, he has won awards on both sides of the Atlantic.

His novels are translated into 15 languages, and are currently in development for a TV series and his latest work is titled ‘Already Dead’.

Mr Booth will be at Chepstow Library on Thursday, May 15.

During the evening he will talk about the importance of libraries in his early life, how he became a writer, and the appeal of crime fiction.

The event starts at 7.30pm and is hosted by Friends of Chepstow Library.

It includes a Q&A session and book signing, with copies of all the Cooper & Fry novels on sale.
