A GWENT man was given a ten-year sentence after he was found guilty of a series of assaults and rape.
Alfred James Brown was found guilty of three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm, common assault, rape and sexual activity with a female under the age of 16.
The charges related to incidents involving two women and date back to 2004.
Brown, 30, from Ty Fry Close, Blaenavon was sentenced at Cardiff Crown Court yesterday. He will serve seven and a half of those years behind bars, with the remaining to be served on license.
