A FAMILY wellbeing and engagement event took place today in Newport Leisure Centre.
The event, which was held between 10am and 3pm, was a collaborative project supported by three of the main Welsh Government Tackling Poverty Initiatives - Families First, Communities First and Flying Start, Newport City Council and Newport Live.
An event spokesman said: "We gave families an opportunity to engage with a number of local services available to them both in terms of finding out information and also being provided with an opportunity to have a voice on certain issues, specifically the Newport Well-being Plan which has come from the Social Services & Wellbeing Act (Wales) 2014 and the Well-being of Future Generations Act (Wales) 2015.
"Amongst others, we had multi-sports activities, arts and crafts and soft play."
