THE Newport Gwent Dragons youngsters were beaten by their Cardiff Blues counterparts in the WRU Regional Under-18s final on Sunday night.

The match was moved from the original venue of the Gnoll in Neath to the Blues’ artificial pitch at Cardiff Arms Park due to the poor weather.

The Dragons young guns had earned their place in the final with a superb victory against their counterparts from the capital last Wednesday evening.

They triumphed 28-12 at Cross Keys' Pandy Park with prop Leon Brown, wing Lloyd Lewis, back row Harrison Keddie and scrum-half Owen Davies crossing the whitewash.

But the hosts got their revenge in the final on Sunday evening as they prevailed 55-15 in a one-sided encounter.
