WELSH weightlifter Michaela Breeze won bronze in the women's 58kg weightlifting at the Clyde Auditorium on what is likely to be her final Commonwealth Games appearance.

"I didn't enjoy a moment of it," said the 35-year-old who came out of retirement to win her sixth Commonwealth Games medal.

"This is farewell for sure, I'm never doing this again," she added. "I never thought I'd be back again and I'm only here to motivate the athletes I'm coaching."

On setting a Commonwealth Games record with 93kg in the snatch Breeze said: "I'm still shaken. Zoe Smith (ENG) and I pushed the limits, and that record was one hell of a save. I'm not sure how I saved that in the first place."

Smith set a Commonwealth Games total record of 210kg and Breeze added: "I believe I had something to do with it because I pushed her, and I'm glad she managed it."
