COOLING REV. DERRICK WILLIAM OF ST. BRIAVELS On 24th September, at home in St.Briavels, Nr. Lydney, the Revd. Derrick William Cooling, AKC, BD, M.Ed., aged 80 years. Beloved husband of Margaret, father of Brigid, Teresa, Michael and Nicholas and grandfather of Tom, Chrissie, Arabella, Sam, William, Jack, Christopher and Skye. He is much missed by all family and friends. A faithful parish priest and schoolmaster who influenced many lives. The Requiem will be held at St. Mary’s Priory Church, Monmouth at 12.30pm on 16th October followed by Interment at St. Briavels Cemetery at 2pm. This is a celebration of Derrick’s life and ministry so please wear whatever you wish. Family flowers only, donations in lieu if desired for St. David’s Hospice Care may be sent to Philip Blatchly & Son, Regents Court, Regent Street, Lydney, Glos, GL15 5RL. Tel: 01594 842877. Many thanks to the district Community Nurses, the St. David’s Nurses and all the staff at the Tintern Surgery who helped keep Derrick at home.
