RAWLINGS Mark "For My Precious Son" He visited and stayed a while Just like a game, some sort of trial He brought fun and joy along the way But, I wish he waited I'd beg "please stay" Peas in a pod he would always say I'm like you mam, it's your repay Stubborn as a mule, no defeat But a nicer boy you would never meet A cloud descended grey and black And He was always under attack He fought and battled he would succeed The swords were drawn but my heart would bleed And so Mark is gone and left his legacy The ones who grieve……. a tragedy The commander on high, he called him in This battle my son you weren't meant to win And so this is where his story ends For me there will be no amends For 36 years he chose his way My beloved boy your soul I lay I never thought this day would come Mark, We had our own special relationship. My cherished boy you will always be with me. I am Heartbroken. Have a big roast dinner in the carvery above. Until we meet again.
