Year 8 pupils from Chepstow Comprehensive School have designed a new sign for the Hood Memorial Hall, in Devauden.

The ten schoolgirls gave up nearly three months of their lunch-breaks to design the sign, which is made out of oak and is said to have a “rustic and rural feel”.

The girls wanted to create something worth while for the community and so decided on the new sign for the community centre, which is at the Green.
