Dylan Matthews, CEO of the Celtic Manor Resort, will be the first speaker of the City of Newport Business Club’s 2014/15 season.

As host to the recent Nato Summit 2014, the Celtic Manor Resort has established itself as an international event destination.

Dylan Matthews will speak to the club about what is was like to host such a high-security, global event.

Dylan, aged 45, is also a board member at Wesley Clover and has been living, working and raising his family in Wales for more than 20 years.

He will also speak about Hotel 24/7, a documentary currently airing on BBC One Wales showing a behind-the-scenes look at a week in the life of the resort.

Janine Dance, chairman of the City of Newport Business Club, said: “This will be a fascinating behind-the-scenes talk so soon after both Nato and Hotel 24/7. We look forward to hearing about what really happened and also the benefits for Newport of such a high profile event. We recommend you book early for what is anticipated to be a very popular event.”
