HOUSING and regeneration specialist Keepmoat has secured new contracts worth more than £70 million in Wales and the West Midland.

As part of thi, the firm has won the biggest share of a £57m partnering contract in Caerphilly and Keepmoat’s first Extra Care development in South Wales.

Neil Baxter, Keepmoat’s regional director for the West Midlands & South Wales, said: “Our business is growing not contracting. Both new and existing clients are putting their faith in us to carry out comprehensive refurbishment and new build projects throughout the region, which will mean job creation and opportunities for the local supply chain."

Keepmoat has been appointed by Tai Calon Community Housing to deliver £5.7m of re-roofing work to 714 homes in Blaenau Gwent - one of the largest re-roofing schemes in the UK. It has also landed its first new build scheme in South Wales - a 40-apartment Extra Care scheme for Hafod Care Association. Work on the £5.7m development will start in Autumn 2014 and is expected to be completed by summer 2016.
