Newport-based structural waterproofing and repair specialists Protectahome has celebrated its 35th anniversary.

The company, which was originally set up in Magor in January 1980, now has its head office in Langstone Business Park, Newport, with regional offices across England and Wales.

Since 1980, the company has expanded from its origins in damp proofing and is now one of the most sought after authorities in structural waterproofing and repair across England and Wales.

Having assembled a specialist team of surveyors and operatives with more than 300 years of combined experience, Protectahome counts Buckingham Palace, Caerphilly Castle, Horseguards and Newbridge Memorial among its projects over the years.

Protectahome is now looking to bolster its ranks by hiring new surveyors, technicians and administration staff.

Managing director Gary Briscoe said: “It is a great achievement for the company to reach the milestone of 35 years in business. I believe that it is a testament to the hard work and expertise of our staff that we continue to receive high levels of repeat and referral business in 2015.

“We are very much looking to the future however, and are certainly looking to bring fresh recruits into the company this year. As our market expands we will be looking to expand both our teams of surveyors and technicians as well as adding more administration support at our head office in Newport.”
