QualitySolicitors Rubin Lewis O'Brien has teamed up with accountancy firm Green & Co Accountants and Tax Advisors to hold this year's Landlord Forum events.

Amy Jo Copeman and Kerry Griffiths, from Barclays Bank, were the first speakers for the season and gave an insight into the new tighter regulations for buy to let mortgages.

Amy Jo Copeman is the Woolwich Barclays mortgage advisor, and Kerry Griffiths is the premier relationship manager for Barclays, meaning they will be able to provide excellent insight into this issue.

The second speaker for the evening was Ed Gooderham, director of Cwmbran-based Green & Co Accountants and Tax Advisors.

The firm specialises in property taxes and have advised on property tax for the last 20 years.

He explained the new tax changes being introduced in the coming months and the implications these will have for landlords.

Mr Gooderham said: "In an ever-changing market it is very important for landlords to get the right advice. Tax on property is ever changing and becoming more complex and costly for landlords. We decided to join forces with QualitySolicitors Rubin Lewis O’Brien to ensure that landlords get the tax advice they need and minimise the tax they are paying.”

Sam George, managing partner at QualitySolicitors Rubin Lewis O'Brien, said: "We want attendees to benefit from the forum. We hope that the speakers can offer real value to those landlords who wish to engage with this free service which is available for all current or potential landlords across the region."
