Another new restaurant is set to open its doors in Newport city centre this week.

Newport’s Fusion restaurant is opening on Thursday, February 11 at noon.

The 300-seat restaurant on Bridge Street will have a fully-licensed bar and is set to offer a buffet service with food prepared by four chefs from India, Thailand, Malaysia and China.

Restaurant manager Jamal said: "Customers will be able to eat as much as their hearts desire for a fixed charge. When you’ve got four award-winning chefs working together to offer a novel range of Thai, Indian, Malay and Chinese cuisine, I anticipate the response from customers will be nothing less than highly positive.’’

Fusion’s open-kitchen set-up will allow customers to interact with chefs and see food being prepared.

The restaurant will also be available for private hire for events like weddings and birthday parties.

Situated next to the Travelodge and opposite The Queens Hotel in Bridge Street, Jamal believes Fusion’s prime locality in the heart of Newport city centre will have a positive impact on business.
