Following a period of extensive growth, Gwent-based SD Sealants and Cosmetic Repairs has moved to a new headquarters.

The UK’s leading sealants and cosmetic repairs company has relocated from Chepstow to larger premises on the Severn Bridge Industrial Estate in Caldicot, to a specially redesigned workplace with additional office and storage space.

The company, which operates across the UK and has six regional branches, has seen demand soar for its applicator and cosmetic repair service, launched in 2014, which has meant that the company has further expanded its client base.

Nick Jones, managing director of SD Sealants and Cosmetic Repairs, said: “2015 was probably SD’s best ever year and April 2016 was our best month to date. Our cosmetic repair offering has been very well received and has significantly contributed to our success and growing profits.

“Experiencing the tremendous growth we’ve witnessed over the last couple of years, it was essential that we made the move to larger offices.”

As well as investing in new premises, SD is committed to taking on new staff and has employed 15 people in the past six months to meet the increasing demand for their products and services.

Nick said: “By taking on new staff we have increased our capacity and so far, it has been a sound business move. However, we still have vacancies in all areas of the business, and the country, with a range of opportunities for people to take advantage of.”

With a network of offices across the UK, SD offers true national coverage by using a group of local sealant operatives to carry out specific projects. The company has expanded their UK offices in Exeter, Wakefield, Fareham, Warrington, Bristol and Romford.

SD regularly works with a variety of well-known construction companies including BAM, Balfour Beatty, Willmott Dixon, Mace, Sir Robert McAlpine and Morgan Sindall.
