RR Mobile Mechanics, a family-owned mobile mechanic company has leased a 1,500 sq ft unit on Springvale Industrial Estate, Cwmbran to use as a garage for his expanding car repair business.

Robert Fox-Madeley an experienced mechanic started RR Mobile Mechanics two years ago.

His company was previously based from the family home.

The business has grown quickly, resulting in the requirement for a unit to enable RR Mobile Mechanics to continue to provide a mobile service as well as use the additional space for more complex repairs and servicing and to store parts and their fleet of vehicles.

Robert Fox-Madeley is pleased to have secured the unit and is optimistic that it will provide RR Mobile Mechanics with a good base to continue to grow the business from.

He said: “We realised a couple of months ago that we needed a permanent base. Cwmbran appealed to us due to its central location and the unit on Springvale Industrial Estate is ideal. It has suitable fixtures and fittings for the equipment we are installing.”

This most recent let means that now only two units are available to rent on Springvale Industrial Estate, which in total provides around 400,000 sq ft of industrial and warehouse accommodation.

Lauren Patterson, property manager for M4 Property Consultants, which manages the estate on behalf of FI Real Estate Managements, said the high occupancy can be attributed to the increase in demand for commercial property in South East Wales, and in part, because of the recently completed refurbishment programme on the estate.

She said: “There is a shortage of available commercial property in the region, especially for industrial units up to 5,000 sq ft. Most the units on Springvale are of that size, and we are very pleased to let unit 73 to Robert.”
