Businesses still have the chance to grab a ticket to this year's V Awards, which is being staged by our sister publication Voice, on Sunday, October 15.

The awards are being held at Tiny Rebel's new Rogerstone brewery and bar and money raised for tickets sales and on the night is going to Newport-based St David's Hospice Care.

Tania Ansell, from St David’s Hospice Care, said: “We have once again been selected to receive proceeds from the V Awards and are delighted to be involved. The Voice Awards & St David’s Hospice Care have a long established relationship which has developed over the years. There are many partners involved with the awards which in itself gives us an opportunity to work with local businesses. This engagement then allows us to spread the word of St David’s, informing the business community of what ‘free’ services St David’s provide locally to those patients and families most in need of our support.”

Tickets for the event are £10 per person. Included in the ticket price is a welcome drink upon arrival courtesy of Tiny Rebel, the Voice Awards Ceremony, a section for the Next South Wales Top Model and closing finished with a DJ session by Capital FM’s Matt Lissack

General manager of Voice, Chris Evans, who is also an independent councillor representing Rogerstone on Newport City Council, said: "This year’s V Awards theme is creativity and diversity and we’re delighted to be working with Reseiclo, which has produced this year’s awards.

"Reseiclo is a great community organisation which represents all that’s best about our city and the surrounding towns and villages."

He said more than 25,000 votes had been received for the awards and the winners will be revealed on the night.
