A gift card which can be spent in businesses across the city centre has been launched by the Newport Now BID.

The Newport Now Gift Card – organised and funded by the Newport Now Business Improvement District – can be spent on almost anything, anytime, anywhere in the city centre.

Almost 60 city centre businesses have already signed up to accept the card, with shops, restaurants, bars, cafes and theatres all involved.

Since the launch of the card just over a week ago, gift cards worth more than £3,500 have been ordered.

The Newport Now Gift Card can be bought online at www.newportgiftcard.co.uk – or from Liverton Opticians in Charles Street, the Riverfront Theatre or the Newport Centre.

Signed up to accept the gift card so far are: Secret Garden Café, Davies Florist, La Belle Femme Boutique, Eurogallery, Carpenters Arms, Celtic Vapours, Fresh Start, Pen and Wig, the Candle Company, Glossy Locks Hair and Beauty, Carpet Gallery, Superbowl UK, Schuh, Arnold’s Electricals, Barefoot Ceramics, Sicily to Seattle, Diverse Vinyl, Georgiou Hair Design, Dutchy’s, Tiger, Assets Jewellery, Coffee Thirst, Poppadoms, Camera Centre UK, Evapor, Ganesha, Profile, Holland and Barrett, Carphone Warehouse, Muffin Break, O2, Vodafone, H Samuel, Thorntons, Luggage Centre, 3 Store, Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Liverton Opticians, Nandos, Boots, Kaspas, City Treasures, Mad Hatters, EE, Tog 24, Skechers, Jeffries Fine Jewellers, New Look, the Nuthouse, Jack and Jones, AD Turner and Sons, Ringmasters, The Entertainer, the Riverfront Theatre and the Newport Centre.
