A young Cwmbran accountant has achieved the highest mark on an exam paper across the whole of South Wales.

Scott Harris, a trainee accountant at Green & Co Accountants and Tax Advisors, attained the highest mark on the P2 Paper across all students on his course at the University of South Wales - the fourth member of the Green & Co team to do so across the last fours years.

Scott said: “It is a great honour to be acknowledged by the University of South Wales for achieving the highest mark. While I put in a lot of time in revising and preparing for the exam, I never expected to get the highest mark out of the whole course; especially for such a challenging paper. I had a lot of support from my colleagues as well as Jared Davies, my P2 tutor.

“Also, as I’m the fourth Green & Co team member in four years to achieve such an accolade, it shows what an excellent job the senior team are doing in our business by mentoring us younger accountants.”

Partner at the firm Ed Gooderham said: “Scott is a hugely gifted young man with an exceptionally bright future here at Green & Co. It was no surprise to hear that he has achieved the highest mark on the paper and I look forward to many more successes from our young team members who are the future of this firm and the accounting profession in South Wales.”
