A Monmouthshire coffee house, interior design and designer dress agency has announced its support for a special charity ball in September.

Andrea Sholl, owner of Number 49 on Bridge Street, Usk, will be helping to raise funds for St David’s Hospice Care by supporting The Wedding Dress Ball.

Number 49 will be running a competition to win two tickets to the event from its Facebook page and for every dress it sells for the event, 10 per cent will be donated to St David’s Hospice Care.

Andrea, aged 50, from Raglan, said: “I think the ball is a fantastic idea, especially for newly weds wanting to relive their special day, everyone will be made to feel really special.

“I wanted to support the event because it is for a great charity and also for the person who is organising it.”

Andrea said: “I will be attending the event, so I am currently on a no carbs diet as I want to get into my wedding dress too after 29 years!”

Event organiser Katherine Skellon said: “It is wonderful that Number 49 has decided to support the ball, as it will be a special event and it’s for a very good cause.”

Katherine, aged 41, is organising the event in memory of her late mother, Krystyna, who was supported by the hospice at home service before her untimely death in January.

The event will be taking place on Saturday, September 22 at The Celtic Manor Resort, Caernarfon Suite Ballroom. Entries are £50 per person.
