Ex-resident looking for Gilwern memories

A FORMER resident of Gilwern, near Abergavenny, is hoping to get in touch with anyone who remembers the village in the 1930s and 40s.
George Evans, who has since moved to Pontypool, grew up in Twyn Wenallt and was a pupil at Gilwern school. He would like to hear from anyone who knew him including the Best and Goodfellow families.
