Wawwa the Musical Youth delighted sell out audiences this week with a wonderful showcase of their singing, dancing and acting talent. They took to the stage with songs ranging from Kiss me Kate to The Witches of Eastwick with something to please even the least musically inclined in the audience.
The chorus sang beautifully and the harmonies sounded amazing. Anthem worked especially well and took my breath away. The numbers kept the cast on their toes with energetic dance moves demonstrating the ability of the cast to work well as one.
There were some outstanding solo performances on display too such as Michael Larcombe singing Flash, Bang, Wallop! and Carlton Minty with Ya Got Trouble. Becki Nash was amazing with My Strongest Suit displaying the brilliant strength in her voice and you just can’t forget the adorable Rosie Mark and Josh Price with Anything You Can Do.
Throughout the night there were guest appearances by Wawwa junior, a new group for younger performers. Happiness from You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown was a brilliant choice for the group to sing and the boy who played Charlie Brown not only looked the part but sang amazingly. Overall it was a brilliant night by a very talented group.
