Abergavenny hosts celebration of gypsy music

FOR the first time, three giants of European gypsy music are joining forces as they go on tour, coming to Abergavenny’s Borough Theatre next week.

Fapy Lafertin – the most revered Gypsy guitarist since Django Reinhardt – is onstage with Lollo Meier, regarded as the most lyrical guitarist of his generation will be joined by the great gypsy violinist Tcha Limberger.

One of the trio’s performances were been hailed by the London Evening Standard as “brilliancies came and went so fast that there was hardly time to applaud”. They to town on Wednesday, May 9 at 8pm.
