STUNNING beaches owned by Parkdean Holidays have been named as winners of the Blue Flag status and Seaside Awards this year.

Two beaches in Devon and one in Wales owned by the award-winning holiday operator Parkdean Holidays have been honoured nationally with a Seaside Award which sets the standard for the best beaches across the UK.

On the global stage, two of Parkdean Holidays’ beaches have been given international Blue Flag status a sign that indicates one of the best beaches in the world.

The Seaside Award, a symbol of quality guaranteeing a clean, safe and attractive beach has been given to Trecco Bay in Wales and Challaborough Bay and Croyde Bay in Devon.

Trecco Bay Holiday Park in South Wales was given Blue Flag status for the twelfth consecutive year as well as picking up a Seaside Award. Trecco is the perfect destination for a holiday at any time of year, within walking distance of nearby town Porthcawl and the Holiday Park won a bronze award for ‘The Best Place to Stay’ at the National Tourism Awards Wales in 2015.

Challaborough Bay Holiday Park, in Devon picked up Blue Flag status for the first time and a Seaside Award for its beautiful sheltered beach. This seaside retreat offers an exciting playground for families and outdoor enthusiasts looking to explore the Gold Coast or try some of the water sports available including surfing, scuba diving and stand up paddle boarding.

Ruda Holiday Park in North Devon boasts the world-class surf spot Croyde Bay which is an international destination for surfers. Croyde Bay is looked after by Parkdean’s beach ranger Rose Roberts, an environmental biologist who leads a team in the maintenance of this area of outstanding natural beauty and site of special scientific interest which picked up national praise in the awards.
