Today's over 50s look set to become some of the UK's most enthusiastic globetrotters over the next 10 years.
An Alliance & Leicester survey found that travel was the top priority for the 50-plus generation, with 54% of those polled keen to journey to more exciting locations more often.
Australia and New Zealand were the top destinations for people questioned, with 26% of the vote, beating Europe (21%) and the US (9%). China, Africa, Russia and the Antarctic were also mentioned.
The over-50s were also keen for new experiences, with 9% wanting to try off-roading, 10% dreaming of flying a helicopter, and 7% enthusiastic about going to music festivals.
