Our adorable Dog of the Week Luna has just arrived at Newport City Dogs Home, so she’s still a little confused and bewildered at her recent change of circumstances.

She arrived at at the home as a stray, and although her elderly owners are aware that she had wandered off, they have decided she needs a more suitable home than they can provide for her, and have signed her over to the home. Luna is a dainty little yorkie/terrier mix, and she is not much more than a puppy.

She is in season, so she won’t be able to leave the home for a few weeks, but the staff will take applications on her immediately. It will be a condition of rehoming that Luna is brought back for her ‘big girl’s op’ in around three months time. No unwanted puppies for this little lady.

We don’t know whether Luna is used to being around other dogs, and as she is in season it’s probably not a good time for her to meet potential fur-brothers or sisters, but applicants and children are welcome to visit Luna immediately.

You will need to be quick though - this little lady is going to have no shortage of visitors.

If you’d like to meet Luna please contact Newport City Dogs Home by calling 01633 290 902 between 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm, on weekdays, 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 3.30pm on Saturday. Please note: the home is CLOSED on Sundays.
