charred bacon steak, caramelised melon and salad fruits, croutons and balsamic reduction

ingredients

8oz smoked bacon steak

baby gem lettuce

cantaloupe melon

cucumber cubes

cherry tomato halves

croutons

parma ham crisps

balsamic reduction

method

1. In a hot chargrill pan or dying pan cook the smoked bacon steak 5 minutes each side.

2. place the bacon steak into a heated oven gas mark 6 / 180 c for another 5 minutes.

3. In the same pan place the cucumber, cherry tomatoes, cantaloupe melon and brown and set aside.

4. To plate remove the bacon steak from the oven and rest for 2 mins and then carve into pieces and arrange on the plate along with the charred salad fruits and melon.

5. Add the baby gem lettuce and croutons and drizzle with balsamic reduction
