Meet Cory - our Dog of the Week!

This super-handsome pupster was found in the grounds of the Royal Gwent this week.

It seems he may have been deliberately dumped as he was found very distressed, pacing around in a fenced area.

But luckily for Cory there was a Good Samaritan nearby who heard him whimpering, and Cory is now in the tender care of the staff at Newport City Dogs Home.

Cory wasn’t microchipped, so the staff named him after his finder, Aisha Corey, and she and her partner popped into the home later in the week to see how he was doing, as they were absolutely smitten with him, and who wouldn’t be?

Cory is just a youngster and would make a fabulous family pet!

His mile-wide-smile is infectious, and he is already a firm favourite with the staff and volunteers at the shelter.

If you’d like to meet him pop along during opening hours - no appointment necessary.

Bring your happy feet and take Cory for a walk around the park. You will fall in love - guaranteed!
