PLEASE give a warm welcome to our super-friendly Dog of the Week, shaggy lurcher boy Scamp!
Scamp was taken into Newport City Dogs Home from a neighbouring local authority pound as the staff there felt he would benefit from a change of scenery to increase his rehoming chances. Scamp has been an absolute delight from the moment his paws landed.
He is fabulously socialised with people and dogs, and has been most polite around the home’s resident kitties Sooty and Sweep. He’s just a youngster and although he can move as fast as a cheetah and loves his play-dates with the other residents he is a bit of a couch potato too.
Scamp also loves to curl up for gentle snuggles. He is a gentle as a lamb, and when he takes treats from your fingers it’s like being kissed by a baby unicorn.
With Christmas creeping up on us Scamp and all his friends at Newport City Dogs Home are desperate to find a home of their own so they don’t have to wake up on Christmas morning in a kennel. If you’d like to meet Scamp or any of the beautiful dogs for rehoming please contact the home for more information call 01633 290 902 between 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm, on weekdays, 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 3.30pm on Saturday.
Please note: the home is closed on Sundays.
