Cardiff based country-folk singer Krystal Mills and Romanian singer Mircea Cioclei are joining forces in the hope to represent Romania for the 59th Eurovision Song Competition at Copenhagen.

The “Harmonic Duo” are ready to battle out for a place in the Romanian National Final on March 1.

Former Meet The Band star Krystal has been singing since she was 5 years old. She began taking her music career seriously when she started to win regional talent competitions and was runner up to National Talent competitions from the age of 15 as well as performing at many charity fundraising events. She has also been playing Guitar for over 2 years and writes her own songs too.

The first song Krystal released in 2011 reached #1 in the Unsigned Top Charts “Waiting for You” which was the catalyst that directed her towards pursuing her musical creativity and writing. Krystal has also released her Album “Rodeo Clown” in 2013 including “He’s an Idiot” Single released late 2013 and “Bang Bang Bang” with her band the Rhinestones.

.

Following her own original song entry “Bang, Bang,Bang” into the Swiss Eurovision Pre-selection she was approached by Romania’s Mircea Cioclei who asked if she would like to contribute to the song “Every Time I See You” for the Pre-Selection Process for Romania Eurovision, believing their voices would complement each other. In the beginning the song was prepared for a solo representation but later the team decided to make it into a duet and approached the young and very talented Welsh singer Krystal Mills from the UK. From that point the song turned into a European project with a strong, ambitious and experienced team working together and combining their knowledge, skills and creativity. ''Every Time I See You'' is a beautiful piano-centric ballad with orchestra, written by Mircea in collaboration with two talented songwriters from Germany and UK, Robert Baitinger and Paul Brookes, produced by Bastian Knochel of Logischdenker Records based in Germany.

“It’s such a privilege to be asked to take part in this project and be asked to duet with Mircea." says Krystal, " I feel very lucky to be working with such a great vocalist who has a voice and the look that will no doubt melt quite a few female hearts and to be working with such a great production team situated in UK, Germany and Romania. It is amazing to be given this opportunity to sing with Mircea and hopefully travel onto the next stage (National Final) for his country, as I know he will be even more honoured as I am. To sing to approx. 170 million viewers is the biggest platform one could ever wish for and would be a dream should we be successfully chosen. With so many famous, experienced competitors expressing their wish to participate in the pre-selection, it is clear that we have to stand out and be different but also be the Ideal Eurovision Artists I see that Paula and Ovi who came 3rd in Eurovision 2010 in Oslo, are one of the favourites, but we hope the Romanian people and the panel of judges will love our song more as we have worked so hard to produce this emotional ballad and are two new fresh faces".

Krysta land Mircea are hoping UK and Germany will back them if they reach the finals as those countries will not be able to vote for their own country representatives should they break through the Romanian pre-selection Eurovision Song Contest 2014 and successfully represent Romania with song "Every Time I See You" in Copenhagen May 2014.”
