Singer/songwriter and piano-player Elio Pace will bring the Billy Joel Songbook tour to Monmouth’s Savoy Theatre on June 27.

Elio has thrilled audiences around the world for over twenty-five years with his soulful voice and amazing piano playing. With his unique blend of pop, rhythm & blues, jazz and rock ’n’ roll, Elio’s song writing, as featured on his critically acclaimed debut album, ‘A Seat at My Table’, has captured the attention and the hearts of music lovers worldwide.

He appeared live-on-air to millions as the featured artist on BBC Radio

2's 'Weekend Wogan' throughout 2010. This wonderful programme helped firmly

place him in the hearts and minds of the station's listeners, who heard Elio display his skills as a singer, songwriter, piano-player, musical director and arranger. As well as appearing with countless guest artists, Elio performed a record 102 solos, many of which were written by him while others were choice covers by his musical heroes such as Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder, Elvis Presley, ABBA and Elton John.

In September 2013, Elio Pace was invited to fill Billy Joel's shoes? starring in two very special reunion concerts in New York and Philadelphia with Joel’s original 1971-72 touring band, recreating the historic Sigma Sounds live recordings.

Speaking about being a part of these shows, Elio said, "It was thanks to the power of social media. I got to know a guy from New York that liked my music and he heard that Billy Joel’s original 1971 bass guitarist, Larry Russell, was looking for a piano player and singer to feature in these reunion concerts. This guy sent Larry a message telling him to check me out on YouTube. Larry did just that, then contacted me and of

Course I was honoured and accepted immediately. It was an amazing couple of nights and it was there and then I decided it was time for me to fulfil a dream and create my own show of Billy Joel's music which I could take to theatres with my own band and that's how 'Elio Pace performs The Billy Joel Songbook' came about. I can't think of anything better than to go to work singing Billy Joel songs and coming home inspired to write more of my own."

With Billy Joel’s reluctance to tour the world anymore, there are many fans out there that have never had the opportunity to hear his music live.

This UK & Ireland tour will give everyone a fantastic opportunity to hear his wonderful songbook played and sung by the brilliant Elio Pace and his magnicent 6-piece band.
