ACCLAIMED Canadian songwriter Leeroy Stagger is to tour the UK in May, following the release of his 10th studio album ‘Dream It All Away’ (Blue Rose).

Leeroy will play Newport’s Le Pub on May 27.

Raised in Victoria, British Columbia, Leeroy Stagger worked in several local bands and has garnered an international fan base through relentless touring, both at home and abroad, with 2016 holding his sixth UK tour.

His touring histo-ry alone is an impressive read with The Pixies, Steve Earle, Ron Sexsmith and Joe Plaskett, to name a few.

2015’s Dream It All Away album was an emotional road trip for Leeroy; within the album there is a quest for revealing and understanding truths while simply trying to make it out unscathed.

Produced by long-time bandmate Russell Broom (Sam Roberts, Julian Lennon) Stagger’s 10th studio record begins with a mood setting landscape then drops into a four on the floor, rock ‘n’ roll heartbeat.

Swaggering guitars with a fearless rhythm section are the bedrock for Stagger’s raw lyrics and signature never-ending vocals.

Leeroy Stagger’s Dream It All Away is the sound of a songwriter entering his 12th year of relentless touring, discovering and documenting the good, bad, happy and sad – the true joy and chore of a troubadour.
