Christmas treat for prog-rock fans

CHRISTMAS comes early for rock fans as three bands play their part in a feast of rock at Monmouth’s The Blake Theatre next week.

The show opens with The Groundhogs, featuring Tony T.S. Mcphee, followed by Martin Turner’s Wishbone Ash.

Turner was the band’s founder member. lead vocalist, bassit and creative force of the original line up.

They will performs such standards as Blowin Free, Argus and many more.

And last, but not least, with their unique blend of progressive rock Focus are one of the most successful of Dutch rock exports.

Hits came in the form of Hocus Pocus, House of the King and Sylvia.

This triple bill will play at Monmouth’s The Blake Theatre, on Wednesday at 7.30pm.
