BLUES fans are in for a treat when Texan Hamilton Loomis arrives at Ebbw Vale’s Beaufort Ballroom next month.
Guitar Player Magazine said of him: “If blues, soul and rock can be said to form a triangle, you’ll find Loomis right in the centre of it.”
Whereas similar acts like Black Keys and White Stripes play American rock music with heavy blues influences, he plays the inverse.
Loomis will be supported by Irish singer-songwriter Gráinne Duffy whose success has seen her play at the acoustic stage at Glastonbury Festival 2008.
