Scarlett Johansson turns 30 today and has managed to fit a lot into those 30 years. She’s twice been named the world’s sexiest woman, featured in countless films as well as plays and has recently had her first child.

We decided to look at a few facts about her on this milestone. Thirty facts, actually. Seemed appropriate.

2. She was given an ‘introducing’ credit for The Horse Whisperer, but it was actually her seventh film despite being just 13 at the time.

3. She supposedly started smoking at 15 and has had trouble quitting since.

4. She got given a nickname, like many celebrites, which she does not like. She said to Glamour about the name ScarJo: “…It sounds tacky. It’s lazy and flippant… And there’s something kind of violent about it. There’s something insulting about it.”

11. She was supposedly “too sexy” to play Lisbeth Salander in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, according to the casting directors.

26. She isn’t often embroiled in controversy but she was this year when her role as an Oxfam abassador was brought under scrutiny, after becoming SodaStream’s first ever global ambassador. They have a factory in a Jewish settlement in the occupied West Bank.
