Last night Kevin Bridges began his three night stay in Cardiff’s St David’s Hall presenting “A whole different story” his new 2015 tour. The 'Scots-star' turned superstar showed why he is one of, if not the brightest young comedian currently touring the UK; with a set packed with his typically unique brand of anecdotes and observations that would leave the crowd in hysterics for over an hour.
The Glaswegian came out firing and immediately set about interacting with the audience. This interaction would continue throughout the show and would culminate in an off the cuff Q & A session at the end. Thankfully Kevin Bridges was born with ‘funny bones’ so no matter what the audience came out with he made sure it became hysterical material.
At 28, Bridges’ references and stories (about sleepovers, dog walking, and what your fajita wrapping skills say about you) would not have been lost on any audience members whether they’re young or old. However those adverse to bad language may wish to steer clear.
Just as he’s moving up in the Glasgow housing market, he’s moving up the comedy ladder too and isn’t far off the top rung.
If you can snap up one of the remaining tickets do so, and if you miss out make sure to pop the DVD on your Christmas list. The man doesn’t disappoint.
