ABBAMANIA, the leading Abba tribute band in the UK, lived up to their name at their one-off show in Newport on Friday.
The atmosphere was electric as people were being seated for the main event.
The crowd was made up of people of all ages, proving the bands extremely wide appeal. Once the curtains were lifted and the stage was set the band smashed into crowd pleaser Mamma Mia.
This hit set the tone for the remainder of the evening and had the audience on their feet from the offstart. The band remained completely in character throughout the show whilst sporting the memorable 70s fashion that the audience know and love.
The performance was packed with energy from start to finish with dance routines during most of the hits. The band also encouraged the audience to take part by waving their arms and singing along.
They later went on to blast out hits such as Waterloo, SOS, and Voulez-Vous, as well as some of the quieter numbers such as The Winner Takes It All and I Have A Dream. All in all they delivered up to their name and it was a fantastic night for Abba fans of all ages.
