The STC Musical Society's performance of Thank You for the Music was full of enthusiasm and fun.

This winter revue was a tribute to music including Disney, classical and West End hits.

They started their performance with a Mamma Mia medley which is always a great way to kick of a show.

Their performance was not short of dancing, where they showed an array of talents with characters dressed as members of ‘the Walking Dead’ dancing to the song Thriller by Michael Jackson.

Scenes from popular films and television shows also made an appearance. They re-enacted the choir from Sister Act and performed a sketch from the Vicar of Dibley.

It was also a delight to have Peter appearing between each interlude with his humorous anecdotes which produced several laughs in the audience.

A large amount of effort had been made into each individual costume and the stage had an attractive Christmas backing set.

Towards the end of the show they played a few Christmas songs where audience involvement was encouraged.

Their last song ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ gave insight into their new show ‘Carousel’ that will be performed in May.
