ABBAMANIA was a brilliant tribute to the songs and best hits of Abba. This tribute band have been touring the world for over sixteen years and they didn’t disappoint at St David’s Hall in Cardiff.
The show started with the band bursting into song with Waterloo.
It didn’t take long for the audience to be up on their feet; as soon as the first bars of Mamma Mia played the entire crowd were dancing, clapping and enjoying themselves, setting the tone for the rest of the evening.
A young choir were welcomed onto the stage, where it was lovely to see children involved. They performed Fernando with Abbamania and every member of the choir should be proud of their performance.
The band ensured the audience were a big part of the show, teaching everyone to dance and sing the Abbamania way.
Hit after hit followed with Winner Takes It All, Does Your Mother Know, Gimme Gimme Gimme and Dancing Queen. The show ended with an encore of Thank You For The Music.
While there were a few empty seats, this was an enjoyable show to get you in the mood for the weekend.
