OTHELLO is one of Shakespeare’s most intense tragedies - a gripping tale of jealousy, manipulation and murder.
Welsh touring company Anvil's production of Othello has been leaving audiences spellbound across the country and arrives at Raglan Castle tomorrow night.
"We chose Othello because it's a play people don't get the chance to see very often," says the company's artistic director Anne Jones.
"It tackles the issues of jealousy, greed and betrayal - all very human and dramatic subjects."
In the title role is Nigerian actor Andy Egwuatu who was presented with the Lillian Baylis award for 2006 by Kevin Spacey at the Old Vic.
Libby Edwards plays Desdemona and Helen Green performs as Emelia. Anvil’s co-founder, Steve Bloor, plays the villainous Iago, whose poisonous scheming brings cataclysmic results.
Othello can be seen at Raglan Castle tomorrow night at 7.30pm.
Tickets will be available on the gate which opens at 6.45pm.
