MICHELLE Collins and Rupert Hill star in the thriller Deceptions which is at the New Theatre, Cardiff from July 21 to 25 as part of a limited national tour.

Acclaimed writer Paul Wheeler’s new play is set in a world where deception is the ruling force.

Psychiatrist Julia Smythe is starting to believe there are no longer any interesting cases in her field of work; things appear to be no different when Adrian Wainwright makes an appointment seeking another quick fix.

What results from their sessions is a battle of wills, played out in stylish and witty banter, as each of them tries to take charge of the situation. As secrets are revealed a psychological game of cat and mouse begins, taking them on a journey that threatens to spiral beyond their control.
