FOR those who missed Run Ragged productions’ family show Out of a Box when it appeared in Newport, there is another chance to see it next week at Blackwood Miners Institute.

This show, aimed at those aged six and over, is a crazy mix of music, improvisation, clowning and loads of fun dance.

The show is all centred on Edward (Jem Treay) who works in a storage warehouse. He loves order and everything is predictable until one day his life is turned upside down when one surprise leads to another.

Argus reviewer Andy Howells recently said of Out Of The Box: “Jem Treay’s Chaplinesque portrayal of Edward was comical and sympathetic, making his character easily identifiable with younger and older members of the audience.

“Rosalind Haf Brooks is engaging and beautiful as the heroine of the piece who turns Edward’s world upside down with Lindy Hop dance movements and cluttered craziness.”

Andy concluded: “Out of The Box is an impressive debut from Run Ragged Productions and deserves to be seen and enjoyed by as wide an audience as possible, if you get a chance to see it in the future, treat yourself and your family – you’ll love it!”

Tickets are priced at £5.50 and £4.50 and a family ticket is £18. Running time: 45 minutes. Blackwood Miners’ box office 01495 227206 .
