THE ACCLAIMED Festival Players group brings its production of Shakespeare’s Richard III to Caerleon Roman Amphitheatre today at 7.30pm The Festival Players will continue to celebrate this Olympian and Jubilee summer with a 45-date all-male tour of Richard III across the UK – including a performance on the historic Bosworth Battlefield, where the king lost his life.

David Lee-Jones in the title role is believed to be the first British-Chinese actor to take on the mantle of one of Shakespeare’s most famous villains.

The show, staged today is part of the Caerleon Arts Festival .

Tickets for the 7.30pm show are available on 01633 422656 (Caerleon TIC) or 01633 430271, price £10 adults (£7.50 concessions) or a family ticket for two adults and two children for £27.50.

Concessions apply for students, under 16s and over 60s. The grounds open at 6.30pm for picnics, audience members should bring their own seats and rugs.
