A MAN and woman were injured after being attacked by armed raiders in their home.
Police were called to Caerwent Road, Croesyceiliog, Cwmbran, at 7.56pm on Friday.
Three masked men are said to have gained access through a back door and threatened the pair with weapons.
The man suffered serious head injuries after being attacked and was taken to Newport's Royal Gwent Hospital. The woman was also injured and required treatment.
All three attackers wore head gear that covered their faces. One of the attackers, thought to be the youngest, was described as being around 18 years old, of slight build, with fair features.
After the attack the three men left the house empty handed.
Anyone with information is asked to call Gwent Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Zero tolerance for this lot, jail them, and homeowners can now legally kill them as long as it is self defence, so make your blows count, maim a few the rest will get the message, for the first time in a long the time the courts have sided with the lawfull, you can do what it takes to get them out or prevent them entering.
