Crash closes northbound carriageway of A449

THE A449 northbound between the Coldra and Usk is closed after a crash, bringing traffic to a standstill.
The crash involved a single vehicle between the M4 J24 / A48 (Coldra) and A472 (Usk Interchange). A car has hit the central reservation.
Police directing traffic. It is also affecting M4 eastbound traffic at J24 A48 / A449 (Coldra).
Emergency services are at the scene. Police have advised that any trapped traffic will be released slowly past the scene once safe to do so. The dedicated M4 off-slip has also been closed.
There is a diversion in place via M4 Junction 26 - A4042 - A472 - Rejoin the A449 at the Usk Interchange.
