Gavin Mills, 26, of Glebe Street had previously denied murdering Polish baker Jerzy Dubiniec on August 20, 2011.
This morning at Newport Crown Court, Mills' defence barrister Douglas Day asked the murder charge to be put to Mills again, which is when he entered the guilty plea.

The previous report on this story (below this one) the last line says about Mr Dubiniec 'He left Poland on July 27 last year and arrived in Newport on a lorry'.
This somewhat gives the impression that Mr Dubiniec was an illegal which being Polish he would not have been.
