THREE men arrested following a crash on the A465 which claimed two lives will answer bail on December 3.

A 24-year-old man from Abergavenny was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. Two other men aged, 21, from Brynmawr and 22, from Blaina, were arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting dangerous driving.

Motorist Phillip Bath, 29 of Coed Cae, Nantyglo, died following Saturday's crash involving two motorcycles and the yellow Peugeot 206 he was driving.

He was flown by air ambulance to the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff where he died on Sunday.

The collision, which also claimed the life of biker Glyndwr John Evans, 49, of Glynneath, happened near the bus stop on the Gilwern to Brynmawr stretch of the Heads of the Valleys road on the outskirts of Clydach at 12.35pm.

Police are urging several of people present at the time of the incident to contact them.

In particular they want to speak the driver of a black Renault Clio which was seen in the area at the time.
