Charity opens Santa grotto in Newport

The launch of the St David's Foundation Santa grotto in the Kingsway Centre
THE St David's Hospice held a grand opening on yesterday to launch Santa's Grotto in the Kingsway Centre in Newport, complete with live music from the Rogerstone Band.
Lucky Alena Griffiths, 7, and Jessica Green, 7, were the first visitors to meet Santa, after raising £1,000 by having their hair cut for the charity.
Another youngster who met Santa was Paige Partridge, eight, who could boast that The Kingsway Centre's Santa Claus is her grandfather.
Santa will be in residence at the Kingsway Centre up until Christmas Eve, and the grotto will be open Monday to Saturday, 11am – 4pm. Visit and a gift is £3, visit, gift and photograph is £5.
