A GWENT electrical store is holding its final sale this weekend as it prepares to close its doors for the last time.
Cwmbran’s outlet of the beleaguered retail chain Comet, which went into administration last month, is set to shut Monday.
The firm’s Newport store in Maesglas Industrial Estate will stay open but could shut by Christmas unless a buyer is found.
The number of people who work in the stores was not available as the Argus went to press.
Comet’s Cwmbran store, located in Cwmbran Retail Park, is one of 54 stores that are shutting by Monday.
By Tuesday the Newport store will be one of four to remain open in Wales – out of 70 across the UK.
Administrators Deloitte have said they are in talks with a number of potential buyers, although there are fears that the company will not be trading by Christmas.
