Severe weather warnings for Gwent
4:20pm Sunday 30th December 2012 in News
MORE heavy rain is expected tomorrow with the Met Office issuing severe weather warnings.
Rain is expected throughout the day with the Met Office issuing yellow rain warnings meaning people should "be aware".
Temperatures are expected to remain at 10 degrees Celsius throughout the day while gusts of wind up to 36mph are also expected in the morning.
The night is expected to be drier with temperatures cooling to around six degrees Celsius.
Although New Year’s Day is expected to be cooler with temperatures ranging between three and six degrees Celsius, rain is only expected in the early hours.
Severe weather warnings of rain were also issued for tonight.
The rain has caused flooding along the A4042 which remained closed today between the Hardwick Roundabout near Abergavenny and Little Mill due to flooding.
The closure came into effect on Saturday and diversions were put in place.
