Kennel Club concern over Wales dog control bill
DOG owners whose animals bite a burglar could face prosecution under a proposed new law backed by a Gwent AM.
That’s according to the Kennel Club, which says it is seriously concerned about the Welsh Government’s Control of Dogs (Wales) Bill.
The law has been backed by John Griffiths, Newport East AM and Welsh Government environment minister.
Kennel Club communications director Caroline Kisko said: “Whilst we welcome the intention of the Welsh Government to improve legislation surrounding dangerous and out of control dogs, we are seriously concerned about some of the negative implications for perfectly responsible dog owners within the suggested Control of Dogs (Wales) Bill.” The bill is under consultation.

how about if a you are running away from the police and they use their dogs and the dog bites you?? can you get the officer done for the dog biting you?? most likely not because its the dogs duty, same as its our dogs duty to defend it home.
wonder if this AM has a dog,. if so i would sure like to see someone burgle their home and let the dog bite the burglar, see if they think it should still be ok.
bunch of **** **** the lot of them

They changed to WAG from the National Assembly of Wales because (I like to believe) so many of us were calling them the 'Nat. ****. of Wales' when we wrote to them!
and this is why i didnt vote for a welsh Welsh Government :(

Well I must say I have never heard such utter tripe!! Our 2 dogs were rescued from death row from the RSPCA and have given us nothing but joy, If someone entered our property with the intent of steeling our hard earned goods they would both happliy bite their butts off with good reason and I love them for that, if these low lifes make the choice to commit crime why on earth should our protectors be punished !!! DISGRACEFUL!!!
